How to prepare coffee with my Nespresso machine in ten steps

To prepare a delicious cup of coffee with your Nespresso®* machine:

1. Fill the water tank with fresh water.

2. Switch the machine on: the buttons are blinking and the system is heating up.

3. Wait till the buttons stop blinking. The machine is ready to start when the buttons are on.

Note : If the coffee maker has not been used for a longer period or if you have just been making some tea it may be advisable (but not compulsory) to rinse the system by putting a cup under the coffee outlet and pushing the expresso button.

4. Position cup under outlet.

5. Insert capsule.

6. Adjust the quantity of hot water for your coffee at about 40 to 110ml or more/less as you may require. Press EXPRESSO button.

7. Remove your cup with coffee.

8. Eject capsule by hand (depending on machine type) or automatically**.

9. For best cleaning practices, empty the capsule container every time you switch off your machine.

10. Enjoy your Diffussence coffee.

Your VEGECAPS®* capsule is made of a 100% plant-based, biodegradable and compostable material complying with the NF EN13432 standard certifying decay within 3 months in industrial compost facilities.

The used capsule can be disposed of:

– in your domestic or garden compost bin where it will break down more slowly than in an industrial compost facility, depending on the quality of your compost and your soil,

– in the green bin,

– or, as a last resort, in your household organic waste bin.

The coffee is of the Coffea Arabica species of the Typica, Caturra and Colombia y Castillo varietals, grown at 1400m above seal level (4500 feet) with organic farming methods. The Columbia y Castillo varietal is a rust-resistant cultivar created in Colombia, allowing organic farmers to harvest some coffee despite heavy rust attack and in spite of the ban on chemical input.
