How to Use my Nespresso®* Coffee-Maker to Brew Tea or Infusion?

 

Is the warranty on my Nespresso®* coffee-maker still valid if I use C’BIOGREEN®** andVEGECAPS®*** capsules?

Yes indeed, your coffee-maker is still guaranteed by the manufacturer.

Which Nespresso®* machines may I use with the C’BIOGREEN®** and VEGECAPS®*** capsules?

You can use all Nespresso®* machines made after 2010, i.e. Pixie*, Pixie Clips*,U*, UMILK*, Citiz*, Citiz & Milk*, Essenza*, Inissia*, Maestria*, Gran Maestria* and Lattissima*.

Professional Nespresso®* coffee-makers in the AGUILA*, GEMINI*, ZENIUS* ranges are not compatible with C’BIOGREEN®** and VEGECAPS®*** capsules.

 

How do I program the water level adjustment when first using my Nespresso®* machine to prepare tea or infusion, in 7 steps:

To adjust the water level for your tea or infusion at 150 ml, 200 ml or other values as you require, it is advisable to program your coffee-maker when first used so that the EXPRESSO button will be used for coffee while the LUNGO button will be used for tea or infusion.

This adjustment is valid for all above mentioned coffee-makers, except Maestria*, Gran Maestria* and professional machines.  On Maestria and Gran Maestria, just turn the LUNGO button to 5 to get 150ml of water.

1. Fill the water tank with fresh water.

2. Switch the machine on: the buttons are blinking and the system is heating up.

3. Wait till the buttons stop blinking before adjusting water level.

4. Position cup under outlet.

5. Insert C'BIOGREEN®** capsule.

6. Press and hold LUNGO button until the required level has been reached. For tea or infusion it is recommended to use about 150-200ml of water, as you may require.

7. The desired level is now set and your machine is ready to brew teas or infusions when pressing the LUNGO button.

 

How to prepare tea or infusion every day with my Nespresso®* machine in 10 steps:

To prepare a delicious cup or mug of infusion or tea with your machine:

1. Fill the water tank with fresh water.

2. Switch the machine on: the buttons are blinking and the system is heating up.

3. Wait till the buttons stop blinking. The machine is ready to start when the buttons are on.

Note : If the coffee maker has not been used for a longer period or if you have just been making some coffee it may be advisable (but not compulsory) to rinse the system by putting a cup under the coffee outlet and pushing the expresso button.

4. Position cup under outlet.

5. Insert C'BIOGREEN®** capsule.

6. Adjust the quantity of hot water for your tea at about 150-200ml or more/less as you may require. Press LUNGO button to brew your tea or infusion.

7. Remove your cup with tea or infusion.

8. Eject capsule by hand (depending on machine type) or automatically****.

9. For best cleaning practices, empty the capsule container every time you switch off your machine.

10. Enjoy your Diffussence® tea or infusion.

Note: You may stop your machine at any time if you require less liquid in your cup that initially set; to do this just press LUNGO button again.

DISPOSAL: The used capsule can be disposed of in your domestic or garden compost bin where it will break down more or less quickly depending on the quality of your compost and your soil,
